Finding Design Inspiration

I recently helped a friend/client put the finishing touches on designing her living room space. She called me up and asked me to join her on a furniture and accessory shopping adventure. We spent about an hour just mulling over items and fantasizing about different designs and furniture set ups. And then we saw it... The cutest little lamp in the right color. Not only was the lamp a great example of the beach style she liked, but the color was just perfect! From there, our design adventure began...

This simple little lamp was our inspiration. From there, we picked the wall paint color and curtains to complete the look of her living room.

After a coat of paint and light and breezy drapes, we've got a calm, soothing and beautiful living room!

My friend still has more work to do and accessories to buy, but now she has the basic foundation of her decor in place. This will serve as an excellent starting place to finish her entire apartment!
